Many of my historical posts don’t have featured images, so I’m finding that some of the excerpts are picking up an image near to the top of the post. Is there any way of not showing images other than featured images?

The theme has an option controlling the use of in-content images as featured when there is no featured image set. This option is off by default so you probably activated it. Look under the theme’s Featured Images section.

Thanks Zed… but I have looked through those options and can’t see anything that will change that behavior. Which specific setting is it?
