I want to edit the header site title so that the default h1 is not present on the homepage. I’m struggling to find the code to edit and place in my child theme.

This is for better SEO. I’d rather be able to code my h1 heading inside my page content. Not using the Landing Page option for my homepage.

On the homepage the H1 tag is used on the site’s title. The landing page sections use H2 (on the static slider caption) and H3s (for section titles).

To change this behaviour you’d need to customize the code that generates the site title/logo markup.

I am well aware that I will need to edit the code. That’s why I said I was using a child theme.
