I uploaded several images to be used in random mode for the header. I’ve made some changes to the images I’m using and can’t figure out how to fully delete the current uploaded images. I deleted the actual files from the WordPress uploads folder but in the Nirvana theme’s header configuration section there are still placeholders showing for the deleted images, which, in random mode, try to get displayed in the header on my site’s pages. How can I wipe clean all references to old header images? Thanks.

You should only delete media files uploaded to WordPress from its Library section. Only manually delete files which are not handled or displayed by the library.
