The serious cryout plugin for parabola is not working. It activates and then when I go into the settings, I can’t click on anything.

Are you able to see the settings section titles? If yes, that means the settings plugin works, but there is something else interfering with JavaScript functionality. Try clearing the browser cache or a different browser.
