This is odd and embarassing but why am I the only one who seems to be having this problem with Parabola???

There’s a problem with your WordPress jQuery library. This can have several causes, including incompatible plugins.
The Parabola Settings page cannot function without jQuery. You need to fix this issue before you can configure Parabola.

Having the same issue. None of the changes I am making on the back end are showing up on the front end. Plus my pictures became very grainy.

I get the same maessage when I go to the Parabola settings page but it disappears after a few seconds and everything appears to be fine

I also just began having this problem. I had not changed anything other than trying out a few different uploads of logos. I had not changed my plugins. I don’t see this posted on the WordPress.org Parabola support forum, so I’ll post it there and see what comes back.

That message only means trouble if it remains displayed after the page has completed loading (a couple of seconds?).
If it remains visible, then you’re having javascript issues (most likely caused by some plugin installed in your WordPress).

See here for a step-by-step guide to debugging.

    tengo perabola 1.1.2

I can not assign the ALT attribute to images of SLIDER (5) or the COLUMNS (4), default theme settings no box to add that value, I guess you have to alter the code,

I am largely self-taught and wants someone enlighten me a bit to go on, as it is very important in SEO work ALT attribute. thanks

    Hi Christina

It appears your question appeared at the bottom of another thread, but this same question was asked earlier this week here.

As of today i got the message in WordPress:
The Parabola Settings page cannot function without jQuery.

This results in that i’m not able to
    – Open the installed plugin page (stays blank)
    – Cannot update WordPress to the latest version (after update button page stays blank)
    – Cannot alter any Parabola settings because of the “The Parabola Settings page cannot function without jQuery. ” message.
    – I did not update or installed any other plugins. This theme worked great for weeks, now all the sudden its locked.

Please help me out what is going on here. I need to update my website and i’m stuck.

The issues you’re encountering separate from Parabola indicate that your browsers may have JavaScript disabled. Check this or try a different browser.
