When someone shares a page there is no image in the preview.

How can you control what image shows in a preview of a page on your site, or simply for the whole of the site?

That site configuration parameter is best handles by SEO plugins which also implement socials/third party resource control (most do this).

If you dont want to use a SEO plugin like Yoast, you can add the OG Meta tags in your header, but without a plugin, it would be difficult to easily have different images for each post:

gives a bit of information on the available OG tags… you can also look at the source of my website and see the settings I use via Yoast
