How to use Custom post template for a post/posts

    I have the two column layout of Mantra theme; one is the post & the other is the sidebar. Now I want to have the total width of template (post width + sidebar width) for a post. Please tell me how to fix it by editing/modifying theme files.

    You can select the one column (full width) template for pages only. You cannot set a layout for posts. Category pages and single posts use the general configured layout.

    There is no such thing as “custom post template” in WordPress.
