How To Remove Table Borders?

I am trying to make a table that is a series of thumbnails (5-across) and a second row with simple text links (also 5-across), followed by a third and blank “spacer row.” Repeat 5 times for a total of 25 thumbnails and 25 links. I have this working at 80%, as you can see here: http://johnlipski.com/?page_id=2.

What I can’t seem to get rid of are those white border lines. Additionally, I can’t seem to get the thumbnails to center in their cells, but that is minor and secondary to the issue with those white borders.

This is the only page in the whole site that will have a table that looks like this, so I’d like to just do it with inline styles as opposed to having to create a whole style sheet for a single table.

Please disregard the above, as I have had a major issue with the website and need to make some major changes, backburnering this issue indefinitely.

Okay, I finally figured out how to get rid of those silly borders on a table. There is actually a setting under Appearance/Tempera Settings/Graphics Settings called “Hide Tables” that achieves what I wanted to do.

Unfortunately, “Hide Tables” sounds a bit like it would hide all the tables, even though it only hides a table’s borders and default cell backgrounds (this is noted in the help popup). Perhaps the option should be called “Hide Table Borders” instead?
