How to have post excerpts on static page as a main page

    I don’t use a presentation page.
    I have set up a static page as homepage and a blog page for all the posts through WP general settings.
    Can I have post excerpts to that static page as a main page of the site or post excerpts go to the main page only when it is a presentation page?
