How to enable header and sidebars after latest updates?

The latest updates dramatically altered the layout of my site but I managed to figure out how to disable the featured blocks to return to my original layout. However, there are still two things that I can’t figure out how to do on my landing page after the latest updates and I’m hoping you can help please:

    1) I can’t seem to get a header image displaying on my landing page even though I have selected and enabled an image. If you click on any of my posts, you will see the header displaying correctly; just not on the landing page.

    2) I can’t seem to get the right sidebar back on my landing page even though I have set my site Layout to include such a bar. Again, if you click on any of my posts, you will see that desired layout is working correctly; just not on my landing page

    I hope you can help!

    Thanks,
    Kyle

The new Landing Page is a separate feature that has its own layout and content options (located in the same customizer-based options panel).

    1. The landing page comes with a sample static slider image, that can be replaced with a different static image, a full-fledged slider or disabled altogether. This image is not the header image.

    2. The landing page is designed for a specific presentation purpose and does not feature sidebars.

If you do not like the landing page, it can be disabled entirely from the theme’s options.

    Thanks for the quick response!

Customize > Landing Page > Settings > Disable

    …did the trick 🙂
