Warning: I’m a complete beginner. I’ve edited the images in the slide show at the top of the Tempera presentation page, but can’t seem to figure out how to delete the six images in the center of the page “Fully Customizable”, “Responsive”, “Extra Fonts”, etc. Where do I find them and delete them? Thanks!

I assume you’re talking about Tempera here (and not Mantra). Those 6 areas are sample content and will disappear as soon as you add your own columns.
Go to Appearance > Widgets, drag the Cryout Column widget to the Cryout Columns widget area and start filling in your content.
