Hi. I am using Mantra (which is the best theme I have used out of many!) I would like to add or set a background (colour or image) for a PAGE (I have done that for the site, but now I want to do it for pages).

Thanks for any help on this!

You can do that with custom styling:
body.page-id-XY #main { background: url(...) ...; }
Each page/post has a unique ID number.
