Will Kahuna allow me to format the Blog page?

In the WordPress dashboard, I see the option for Static Page Layout and want to add a right sidebar to my Blog page but not to the entire site. When I change the setting in the dashboard, it does not update the Blog page as I expect.

WordPress overrides the functionality of the static page selected as ‘Blog’ so the layout option has no effect on it. That section will use the general layout configured in the theme.
