I like the Presentation Page’s Magazine format setting, with the 2 columns. But in a couple of my posts the image (an infographic) is quite wide (800px) so that the user can click it and get a nice big version of it. But in the Excerpt column the image is not displayed at all, presumably because it is too big.

Is there any way to get the excerpt style posts to use a thumbnail of the image instead?

Add featured images to the posts and enable the “Featured Images as POST Thumbnails” or just enable the “Auto Select Images From Posts” option in the theme’s Featured Image Settings
