Okay … I’ve identified the problem … the sliders will not work for me as long as I’m logged into the site. The moment I log out of wordpress, the sliders work again. Apparently they are working fine for anyone not logged into the site.

Where is the mobile settings? I’ve looked all around the theme and can’t find it.

I’ve been reading about issues with the WP 3.6 update and Mantra 2.0.7 but I was wondering if there was any news on this issue. Is this still a problem with the newest updates that have been released? I have about a month before the site I’m developing goes live, and while this is not a deal-breaker it is still something that needs to be resolved.

Joel
Well, while I much appreciate the 2.0.7.1 update, now that I have that installed, I don’t see any difference with the menu “tabs” (nor can I find anywhere new to modify something such as was originally noted). Unfortunately, they still are a bit “sensitive” when it comes to mouse movement/placement in relation to them. Am I missing something? 🙂
Note that this post was NOT in response to what appear to be menu-related issues after the 2.0.7 update was made available. This was submitted prior to then (and seems to still be a valid, separate request/issue).
Please assist if you can! Thanks again!

Pantelis
Question on that, cause i want to have also more “custom slides”.
I’m ok to create post generated slides and to put featured image and leave post empty.
Where should i change the code so i won’t have linkable/clickable slides/post (just slideshow of images as you can do on a custom selection of images)?and also what class/id should i configure, so i won’t have nivo-caption appearing in the slideshow (the title of each post) ? i tried on custom css to add .nivo-caption {display: none; } but it kept appearing.
thanks in advanceJuly 27th, 2013 at 00:40 #9834In reply to: Blog template with excerpts ?
Olrik
OK, I found the “post excerpts settings” option. But the problem is now that the articles are cut after à precise number of words (50) whereas all my articles are cut at the end of a sentence with the “more text” option of the wordpress post editor. Moreover, each article begins with a picture which diseappears now.
To have an idea, here is a link of my photography category :

Yes, I know, it’s not Parabola. In fact I’m making test with Theme Test Drive before changing the theme. It’s just to give an exemple of what I mean and what I would like to see in this Posts page.July 26th, 2013 at 17:17 #9824In reply to: logo, how to on hover show the below image
Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindWith Mantra it’s a bit trickier.
Start by creating a fully transparent empty 210x100px PNG image and set it as your logo in Mantra.
Then upload your dual-version logo image someplace on your site/server, and add this custom CSS:
a#logo img { background: url(/path-to-your-dual-version-logo/dual-logo.png) top center no-repeat; }
a#logo:hover img { background-position: 0 -100px; }If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

This is missing from your download file.

Is this supposed to be in the download file or do I need to get this file from somewhere else?

I installed CR2 HTML Module and it did what I wanted it to do in the front-end except in the back-end section where to add the HTML and it says “HTML Content:
Use the “View Source” button to avoid any issues when writing complex HTML.”
It only has a input field with no WYSIWYG editor. I was able to past in html and it worked but not sure why the WYSIWYG editor isn’t showing. Have you got any ideas on why it may not show?July 23rd, 2013 at 22:52 #9639In reply to: Photos on site not viewing correctly in Windows XP

@ Zed. I’m not sure what browser he is using. I will check. The client brought it to my attention that the website was not showing any groupings of pictures together. It doesn’t seem to matter if it is created in with Nextgen Gallery or a plug-in that I have running on the bottom of the pages. This is one of the pages that have quite a few photos on it. http://regionfencesales.com/residential-fencing/ Do you know if it is Windows XP, the browser or what would be causing the pictures to stack on top of one another? Any help or direction you could give me would be very much appreciated.

Cryout Creations mastermindIt depends on the browser you’re using in Windows Xp. If it’s the built-in Internet Explorer version 6 (or even 7), then these are no longer supported, are terribly insecure and broken and you should never touch them again.
If you encounter this issue on any updated browser, tell us the browser name and version.

Dan
Hi Niclas,
Don’t feel like an idiot, I went for a year not knowing what the kitchen sink was 😉 To make a blockquote you need to go to text, highlite the text field and then click the blockquote button, return to visual and you’ll see the results. It’s pretty much the same with the IMG insertion, it needs to be done in text mode unless I’ve missed something.Dan
July 18th, 2013 at 07:34 #9332In reply to: Adding dot pots beside the slider
Carmen
Um. That’s a strange request. Lol. I can describe it in more detail perhaps. On the presentation page of mantra there is a slider. The slider can be changed in height and width. On my page I made the slider smaller in width: http://www.personaldevelopmentinsights.com. I will make it slightly smaller still. On the left hand of the slider I’d like to put words that state the benefits of personal development. These would be in the format of dot points like this:
– boost your confidence
– gain clarity
– improve your life
– reduce stress and anxietyHOW is it possible to write words beside the slider?
Mantra is such a versatile website platform I know there must be a way. I just can’t find it. 🙂
Thank you!

Hi! I’m having the same issue – I have 3 footer widgets, and when it shrinks down for mobile, they turn into 3 really skinny columns, instead of moving to be in a row as you scroll. Has anyone already worked on a fix for this?

Yes, I too would like to place the tagline under the site title and change the font. The settings have separate changes for site title and tagline color, but not text. I tried everything and nothing changed the text in the header. Help would be appreciated.

DanJuly 14th, 2013 at 05:48 #9170In reply to: Bug – Social Media Icon mobile scaling
Steve
I actually found another (related) bug. When I view the site on my iPhone 5, the Presentation page column images have strange aspect ratios.
First, when I created an image to match 201 x 322, I did so, but when I viewed the site on Firebox the aspect ratio was squished (but on these images – no other aspects of the site had an aspect ratio problem. SO in settings I altered the image box dimensions to 212×322, and ir compensated for the squished look. Now the image looks as it should.
When I then view this on my iphone with Safari, in portrait these images looks squished in from the sides (which means that, had I left the pixel dimensions as they were, it would look squished in Firefox, BUT correct in Safari mobile – since I corrected for it for Firefox, it now causes the mobile to looks wrong). Then, when I flip to Landscape, the image looks squashed (like hor the original image looks before I compensated).
So between this and the social media icons overlapping (and maybe too big), it appears that therre’s some overall bug with the layout scaling in both the web and mobile versions – and in the case of some images like the column images, it’s causing inconsistent aspect ratio problem.
Just wanted to provide this feedback, hopefully to help improve the theme. Thanks!
