1. Good Day Zed,
   Just want to say Tempera is a pretty fancy theme. I have started creating a new site using the Tempera theme. Currently I am experimenting and getting the feel for all the “fancy and slick” tools you have provided with this theme so I have not got a lot of content yet. However I have discovered two tiny issues, (I HOPE) you may be able to help me with:

   Issue 1: When I switch between menu option/pages, my text seems to flicker, change font, and quickly return to normal.

   Issue 2: When I switch between menu option/pages, the Menu Item “boxes” seem to quickly change size and then return to normal.

   Any “bloody” idea why this may happen?

   Your advice and assistance will be appreciated.

   2. You must be using custom or Google fonts. Browsers take a bit to load external resources (like font files) and you’re getting to see the text with default/failsafe fonts until the correct ones load. Also, some browsers are laggier at rendering than others.

2. How can I create an Archives page?

   1. Jayce
      go to Dashboard, choose Appearance, Choose Widgets and on the left side of the screen you should see LEFT SIDEBAR. You should se a list of options like:
      Recent Posts
      Resent Comments
      .
      .
      Archives

      I have my theme set to have the Right Side BAR active.

      I simply did a “drag and drop” and moved the Archive under the RIGHT SIDEBAR option and now the Archive shows up in my Right Side Bar

3. Hello,
   I’m using the Tempera theme and I’m very content with it. But I’ve problems with the font symbols especially with the symbols on the drop-down menu, the search symbol and the back to top icon. Firefox shows only blocks. Is there any way to fix this?

   1. This is Firefox security limitation that occurs when the URL you use to visit the site is not the same as the URL WordPress is configured on.

   1. Leave the custom slider content fields empty or set it to display 0 post-generated slides.

6. Links in posts are not working unless the post is viewed directly (after clicking on the header) – when viewing posts on a category page, all links are rendered as plain text. Is there a setting that controls it?

   1. I just found a setting for that (Tempera Settings->Post Excerpt Settings->HTML Tags in Excerpts->Enable). Nice work Theme Team!

   2. Excerpts are automatically generated by WordPress out of the content of the post and are stripped of any kind of markup (including links).
      Use manually defined excerpts to add custom formatting/markup in them.

7. I’m attempting to take out the border on one of my tables but no matter what CSS or HTML I use it won’t disappear. I’ve even tried simply changing the color to match the background but that doesn’t seem to work either. I only need to get rid of the border on this one table to changing the color in the settings isn’t really an option. Suggestions?

   1. Specificity should work. If your CSS rule is something like
      #content table.myclass, #content table.myclass td { border: 0; }
      and it fails, adding body in front will make it more specific and make it apply.

8. How do I delete some of the social media icons? I only want Facebook.

   1. Leave the URL fields empty in the settings and those social icons will no longer be displayed.

   how would i add a custom page with the default template?

   1. There is no template name in page.php as the default template has no name.
      Copy page.php to templates/, rename to whatever name you like, edit it to suit your needs and add the template header by copying the existing page templates.

    1. Yes, you need to use plugins for that result (Fancybox / Colorbox / Lightbox and the likes).

11. Ive just done a update to 4.1.1 have all my pages in edit have lost the body text, everything in bold or that has a heading still shows. I did a backup as stated and imported it back into the site but am now unsure how to recover the text.Oh it you can hightlight the blocks where the text should be, it is just invisible I guess. The website in the browser view shows everything intact. That’s why I think in edit mode it is invisible. This is my first website please help.

12. the tempera with woocommerce (beta) doesnt work as it should with the new wordpress. it crashes!!

13. When I add the “read more” icon to my post for the blog template or the featured posts on the Presentation Page, the text is cut off at the right spot but the “Read more” link does not show up.

17. Hi there, I love your theme. I built me fine art website with it no probs. But when I added it to my second domain, the links in the first website no longer work. The original faulty one is tashbrooks.com. The new one bluehues.co.uk Is there anything I can do to restore the links to my blog and gallerypage in the tashbrooks.com page. Thanks, Natasha

18. How can I create a menu in the bar next to the Home button?

19. How do you override the default text setting? I want to keep it, but there are places where I want to center images or elements, but everything does left. I have tried , , , and . None of these have move the content to the center of the page inside or outside a table. Is there a specific HTML code required to center when using the default text setting?

    1. In the Admin Console, go under Appearance and select Tempera Settings. You will now see all of the options available to configure the theme to your liking. To change the text you are referring to, Select Presentation Page (under Tempera Settings) and find Extra Settings (near the bottom). Expand the Extra Text settings and you should find what you are looking for. Make the changes and then save.

22. Sorry to bother you again, but what is the function of the “more posts” button on the front page?
    Currently the frontpage is set to display 4 posts, there are more so the “more posts” button is displayed, but when I press it nothing happens.

    Is there a way to define which page should be opened when the button is pressed? and is there a way to change the text on the button?

23. I’m a new user for this theme and relatively new wordpress user. I’ve checked the forums but I can’t find the answer. On your image that shows what this theme looks like (as well as on the dummy page) I’m trying to figure out what the 2 rows of 3 columns are called and where I can customise them. The boxes that are below the headings “Fully customisable” “Responsive” “Endless fonts” and so on, with the scenery photos. Are those links, pages, posts? What section in the wordpress dashboard or theme customisation do I visit to changes those?

    1. Under Tempera settings there is a Presentation Page section. In this section you can adjust how many columns you want on each row. When you first load the theme I believe the default is 3. go to your Widgets and you will see one called Cryout Columns. Add this to the Presentation Page Columns available Widget area. When you add the widget you will be able to modify the image, text, link etc… Hope that helps.

24. How do I get Tempera to recognize a custom post type?

    1. Honestly. I emailed offering to pay you guys for custom work. No response. I post in your forum for help. No response. I post on your faq for assistance. No response. Do you guys only answer the stupid questions like how to I change theme colors or what? Looking through your forum, no less than 5 other people have been looking for the exact same solution to magazine layouts and custom posts! Perhaps you could support your users guys? I mean what kind of business model are you running when you don’t even respond to customs work quote requests?!?

       1. Honestly. I may love the theme. But not impressed with the community or the support. I got it figured with the help of an IT friend. Apparently all I was missing in my code was the word post in reference to post class. In my content.php, and page.php for my custom posts. That’s it. You’d think someone could have told me it was one word that was missing!!!

25. When I finally got my content into the presentation page, I lost the slider that I’d already got the way I wanted it. There’s no slider at all anymore. Where did it go?

    1. You are currently using a static page as the homepage. The slider is part of the presentation page which is active only if you set Homepage displays to Your latest Posts under Settings > Reading.

26. I have upgraded to WP 4.1 and I see the bullets during edit but they do not appear when the page is displayed. (RTL version)

    Any idea where this thing’s coming from?

    1. Could you post a link to a page with the list missing the bullets?

          1. That’s weird. Add this CSS until we correct it:
             body .entry-content ul > li { list-style-position: inside; }
             You can remove the extra 30px right padding.

28. I want to add a widget to the right column but I find that I can only add text to it but not HTML code. Is there another approach to doing this getting more flexibility to add some customization so that I can add links from the text in the right hand side and images?
