    This is really an lovely, lovely theme. And I was delighted to see your post from last month about using page-blog to give users the opportunity to use the presentation page as a ‘home’ and then, have a more normal ‘blog’ feel just underneath.

    In using page-blog on a static page to create a second home, I’d love to only have the first few lines of a post appear (take a look complete blog posts are showing. I’ve tried using ‘more’ to see if that would force only a teaser…is there a small add-in that I could edit in to the page-blog template tease the posts when folks went to look at everything I’ve posted?

  4. Hey – Loving the theme! Have a question – when you are on the Mantra settings and you click in the white space after or before setting a parameter – it will close all the tabs and reset you to default! Yikes! I am much more careful when I go in there and set things up – but it is very touchy – and very annoying when you have to reset all your settings!

    1. Update to the latest version (1.8.7). There will be a confirm dialogue before resetting to defaults now.
      Can you also tell us what browser you are using while editing the theme options?

  5. Is there a place where you can find release change logs easily? Latest version is 1.8.7, but I have no idea what it updates.

    Also is it possible to make different sized sets of social media buttons? “Regular” size is a bit big….

    1. This is the place. We’ll release a log for 1.8.7 real soon.
      And no there isn’t an easy way to make the icons smaller cause they’re animated but we are considering making them smaller for good in a future version.

    Thanks for providing a great theme. 🙂
    I have two questions:
    1. If I would like to add more sidebars than what comes with the theme, how can I go about doing that?
    2. Currently, when I am working under “Widgets” and I drag “Links” (from my Available Widgets) into my Third or Fourth Widget Area (both are labeled “Sidebar 2”?), my links aren’t showing up! Even after 1.) making sure all my links are uploaded and under the correct category and 2.) putting check marks in the appropriate boxes (back on the Widgets page) to indicate the page that the links should show up on.

  8. Hope this is not a dumb question – but I installed the theme on another domain and when I go to add pages, I used to have rich text capabilities or html as an option – that seems to be gone now – am I missing some setting in mantra or wordpress?

    btw – great theme!

  11. Hello, congratulations for that nice theme, I’m using and lovi ng it!

    I have a question that maybe is not easy to explain but I’ll try. Unfortunately I’m still working local so I can not show it at the moment.

    Well, the point is that I’m working with header image activated directly in WP settings. Different images uploaded and formatted by WP to 1100×300 which is the size I have. That works fine. But I’m also working with my “Products Page” which is the posts page in a “Magazine Layout” with excerpts activated. Each of the post have a “featured image” selected and the idea is that when I enter in the produt itself (a post), the header image should be replaced for the featured image of the post. And it occurs, but when that happens, it also appears the space for the tittle and subtittle just above the image causing a lot of space above that makes the view a litte weird…

    What can be the problem? The image size of the featured image is the same, 1100×300.

    Maybe a screenshot will help. Where can I can send you that?

    I’m using WP 3.2 and Mantra 1.8.6

  13. Hi! I absolutely LOVE this theme. It has been so user friendly and the customization capability is really awesome. So great for a self taught, learn as I go blogger.

    There are only 2 things I haven’t been able to figure out – 1, how to add code to JUST my home page. Not the presentation page. I want to run text above my home page blog post, below the meta tabs and to the left of my sidebar (I have a 2 column, right hand side bar set up). And I can’t for the life of me figure out which page in editor I need to add my code. If I add it to the end of the header it moves all of my sidebar items down as well and that’s not a look I like. And 2, can I change the font of my meta tabs?

  14. Hi, thanks for the fab theme. I love the Mantra look. I am not a great computer whizz but have just read how to create a site using WordPress and understand a little more. Hence uploading the Mantra theme. I have a query though. I enabled the Presentation Page because I love how it looks but I have a page for my blog in one of the top tabs but can’t get my blog to upload there if I choose to have the presentation page as my front page. I would like the presentation page to introduce my site and use the smaller image boxes as clickable links to my shop categories. Then I would like to be able to click the blog at the top and my latest blog posts will appear there. Is this possible? I can only get the blog to ‘sit’ there if I disable the presentation page.

    1. Hi!
      We’ve just implemented this in the latest version. Go and edit your ‘Blog’ page and from the page templates (in the right side) select page-blog. That should do it.

            one question further. Is it possible to select from a set of posts, that some of them are shown in one page Blog and others in other page-Blog? I have two different “product” categories: Trekkings page and BTT routes page. The fist page is not a page but the “Blog-page” and all the posts are shown there in a magazine style. But I need other “Blog page” (BTT routes) not showing the posts from the “Trekkings Page”. Is it possible to make this selection?

    Excellent theme, one of the best i have used on wordpress.

    as i get to know it more i enjoy it more.

    One thing, i cant find where to change navigation menu tab height in order to fit 2 rows of text. When a long page title it flows into the body.

    This theme is awesome and so far (even though I’m just getting into customising it) looks like it is going to suit me down to the ground. So thanks, first up!

    On the presentation page, is there any way of altering the number or removing the four columns all together? And is there a way to remove the ‘Read more >>’ link?

    And on other normal pages, is there a way to change the background colour of the part of the page containing text (not the general background, got that bit sorted) and the menu tabs?

    However, one small thing I would love to change, but don’t quite know how to get there.

    The 2 titles on the presentation page (above and below the slider) – how and where does the colour and font and style get changed?

  19. I am trying to use the one column template just for one page and it is not working. The only way it works is to make it the default layout, but then all the pages use it! Is there some kinda switch somewhere to tell WordPress to look in that onecolumn-page.php file? Thank you.

  20. I find Mantra a very nice looking theme. But I miss the responsive layout needed these days… I can imagine an enhamcement in the “layout” section, to adjust the page size (content/sidebar width) for more than one size, so resizing the browser, the switch from one to another should occur and no horizontal scrolbar should appear.

    But what i want to do is have a link somewhere on that page which will enable me to see my actual posts? Is this possible? Because at the moment i can’t see how the will be visable to my visitors.

  28. I am in the process of transitioning the punyin.com site to wordpress and would like to use Mantra (v1.8.4) as the theme. I am finding a weird glitch that sizes the width of the header image to 50px. Also, in the settings, the category of width of columns has a lot of overwriting in the text at every size so I cannot actually read and/or fill in any values. Please help, thanks.

    was what I was given, but it removes the bar from the whole site. How do I ammend this to remove the bar for just one page.
