Your images are used at 100×150 pixels while the theme’s featured image settings seems to be set to 250px (width).
You are also using WordPress’/Jetpack’s Photon service (which loads images from their servers, not your own site). I’m not sure how (if?) Photon reads the theme’s image sizes.
Disable Photon and check if the images are displayed at the right size, and if they still are not try to regenerate your thumbnails.If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.You are using a child theme which sets the articles width to 49%. We’ve changed this value to 48% in version 1.7 for the Masonry articles alignment to work.
Since your site still has the old value, articles no longer fit next to each other and Masonry re-arranges them in one column.
You should only include the changed values in the child theme; there is no need to copy whole blocks of declarations for a single value.

You can try this CSS:

Captions are automatically hidden when you use custom slides and leave the title/text fields empty. There is currently no easy way to disable captions on post-based slides.

You can however use any slider plugin to do that.
