@Adreas: Fluida uses 1280px as one of the responsiveness points – where it relocates the sidebars below the main content. If you are browsing the site on a device with a screen narrower than this you’ll see the sidebars below, otherwise they are on the sides.
The value and behaviour are design choices for content readability and spacing.

Keeping elements fixed on the screen while scrolling would diminish this space further. It is a design choice to disable the fixed status of the topbar on smaller devices.

The update includes the changes for both the styles and the HTML code, so a force refresh (to clear the browser cache) solves any invalid icons.

Try using a thumbnail regeneration plugin to make sure your images have a slider-specific image variation (to fit in the slider).
