Colton
I used to be able to change the year that has the copyright symbol with the old settings menu but after the WordPress update of all settings being in the Customize area, I’m not seeing where I can change my copyright year from 2015 to 2016?
I’ve also looked in footer.php and either I’m not seeing it or I’m editing it wrong… I’ve used ctrl+f to find any area where the copyright text would be at but I’m not able to find anything.
If anyone could help me out it’d be much appreciated!!!

Cryout Creations mastermindLook at the Custom Footer Text field in the theme settings page (under Miscellaneous).

There is also a plugin to restore the old settings menu, there is a section to edit the copyright area in the footer of it. Look up Cryout Settings in plugins, something of that nature anyway. Worked with Mantra!
