Im in a tuff spot. I thought with tempera you could add featured image per page and have the header as well. I need the header to appear on all pages including the presentation page, which I have done. Only to find out that the header is sacrificed to accommodate the featured image on a sub page when enabled and selected.
Any work arounds would be appreciated.

With the appropriate theme option enabled (Featured Images as Header Images), the theme will display the assigned featured images in the header of the static pages.

If you don’t want your featured images in the header, disable that option.

You might want to read my post again. Im asking anyone for a workaround that allows the featured image and the header to both appear. Header at the top and featured image “below” the header. Below that is the menu or main content. As it is now any special navigation setup, graphics, etc in the header is sacrificed when the featured image is enabled for the page.
THE HEADER AND FEATURED IMAGE SHOULD BE INDEPENDENT OF ONE ANOTHER AND SHOULD NOT OCCUPY THE SAME SPACE.

The featured image is not displayed inside single posts or pages. If you need it visible there, you can insert the image at the beginning of the post/page content.

The featured image as header image option can be used regardless of this.
