Hey guys, I just found your operating system recently – i686 OpenRC, nice! Unfortunately it doesn’t shut down though, what do I do??? I don’t understand what I could be missing.. it won’t restart or shutdown, I’m trying to use sudo poweroff like I use on Artix Linux but thats not working, nor is sudo reboot… what do I do???? Everything else seems to be working just fine, except it just does not shut down! I need some serious help ASAP to make this thing shutdown properly because I just don’t know what to do at this point.

if there are any log files I can produce for you guys please let me know, because I don’t know which ones are relevant.

I’m re-installing to see if that changes anything, if the problem persists then it must not just be me… Unless there’s something I’m missing, but I don’t think there is..

I’m using the 2.2.1 CLI ISO & just pacstrap’ing it. Unfortunately I don’t know what else I can do, so I’m going to attempt to install the LXDE version to see if that changes anything, and if that doesn’t work then I suppose I’ll try the “beta” OpenRC version.
I honestly expect shutdown hangs from sysD, never from OpenRC. so this is a first for me.

Edit: Yep, its STILL not shutting down…. :/

I installed it via the install tool on the LXDE 2.2.1 OpenRC release & its still just hanging instead of rebooting. I guess I’m going to attempt the beta version… I will keep checking here the next few days! Very excited to have a 32-bit OpenRC arch variant! I use Artix on all my x64’s & debian-based distros are giving me grief on this particular netbook.
