I need a way to set certain post types as full width (no sidebar), but there are no post layout options, only page layout options, in the editor.

Q: Is there a plugin that adds this functionality?

Is my only option to create a child theme and create a new post layout? I’m not a coder so if there’s an easy option I’ll take it.

(Could I do this with a plugin like PageBuilder?)

Hello Kevin,

I set all my themes with the page width to Full, that is the default for posts – then indiviually add sidbars to pages as I need them.

But that only is for All posts – not sure how you can make some have the sidebar display.

The site’s general layout applies to the entire site, except individual (static) pages which are set to use a different layout page template.

Individual posts cannot be set to use a layout different from the general one.
