It showed properly on a computer screen, (it did take some effort). But it doesn’t show clearly on mobile devices. I am not a web designer, have a bare understanding of pixel ratio, and general website design.
Thanks in advance for any help.

]]> <![CDATA[Blog page options]]> Wed, 13 Dec 2017 14:27:15 +0000 cindy Will Kahuna allow me to format the Blog page?

In the WordPress dashboard, I see the option for Static Page Layout and want to add a right sidebar to my Blog page but not to the entire site. When I change the setting in the dashboard, it does not update the Blog page as I expect.

]]> <![CDATA[Remove post info from featured picture overlay]]> Tue, 12 Dec 2017 20:37:20 +0000 nnorton00

I would like to remove the text over information from the featured images on posts. I would like it to show up like the top post when there is no featured image.

Thank you!

]]> <![CDATA[Reply To: Feature images pixelated]]> Tue, 12 Dec 2017 17:51:22 +0000 Undrwatrgrl The landing page image is fine but yes I am having issues with the feature images. I think I know what is going on. There is something in the code for the header images that makes them enlarge and that’s when the pixelation is happening. This is really frustrating because it won’t let you adjust what is being shown and it just distorts the images. Hopefully Zed can explain why this happens.

]]> <![CDATA[Reply To: Feature images pixelated]]> Tue, 12 Dec 2017 16:32:10 +0000 TBrewer I realize now I misunderstood your problem. I was under the impression it was the landing page image that was giving you problems not the header images on the separate pages. Have you tried adjusting the header image behavior? You can toggle between responsive and cropped, you’re likely getting a cropped image now. This shouldn’t cause pixelation, in fact these are the only options in order to prevent that, but the responsive image may give you more information on the true image size after uploading it. Is there any chance it could have been compressed in that process? Have you tried looking at the photos via some other wordpress media type? e.g. a slider, embedding the picture, etc. I haven’t had any issues with compression when uploading but it’s possible. Beyond that you’ll have to wait for Zed to make his rounds.

]]> <![CDATA[How to change socials background color on hover.]]> Tue, 12 Dec 2017 16:19:56 +0000 BobbyFischer Hello I have tried to change the background color of the socials in the footer on hover but I was not successful.
The change in question needs to be done in the socials menu that’s generated automatically by the theme.

I have tried:

.socials a:hover
background-color: #FFF

#sfooter.socials a:hover
background-color: #FFF

#footer a:hover
background-color: #FFF

.socials-hover { background-color: #FFF; }

Thanks in advance

Did you figure out why your featured images are getting blown up in the header? The same thing is happening to me and the pictures look very pixelated. It looks terrible. I have tried to resize my images in so many different ways and it doesn’t make a difference.

]]> <![CDATA[Reply To: Feature images pixelated]]> Mon, 11 Dec 2017 23:06:47 +0000 Undrwatrgrl I have tried setting the width to the exact width of the site (1380) and it did not change a thing. The image is still highly pixelated and looks terrible.

]]> <![CDATA[Reply To: Feature images pixelated]]> Mon, 11 Dec 2017 21:51:54 +0000 Undrwatrgrl The images were raw so they were very high resolution. I have resized them multiple times using different dpi’s (72-180dpi), cropping, and changing the width (1000-2000+ pixels). No matter what I do the image is pixelated. I will try the ratio you suggested or try to find the slider ratio. I am not sure what the width of the site/slider is set at. How do I find out the slider width and the slider ratio?
