use modified defaults.php file in child theme

    Hello,

I’m building a website with the tempera theme (wonderfull theme by the way!).
I use the presentation page layout and made setting through tempera settings -> presentation page via wp-admin.

In the extra section (top title and top text) it’s only possible to have a single language text. because it is a multi language site I created therefore a child theme and made a change to the file frontage.php and put the changed file in the child theme folder. I also added extra defaults (tempera_fronttext1a and tempera_fronttext3a) to de defaults.php file in the admin folder. As long as I keep the changed defaults.php file in the original theme folder, everything is working fine: depending on the page language, the top title and top text is shown in the corresponding language.

When I put the changed defaults.php file in the corresponding folder in the child theme, it is not working. So apparently instead of using the changed defaults.php file in the child theme, the theme still uses de default defaults.php file in the original theme folder.

To make sure the added defaults are not overwritten with every update of the theme, I’m wondering how I can make this work.

    Thanks in advance!
