Mouse hovering stops my slideshow on the presentation page

I can’t find a way to remove the obvious setting that whenever the mouse hovers over the presentation slideshow, it pauses. The presentation slideshow takes up a significant amount of screen space and is the most likely place the mouse will be for any given user.

I noticed that by default the regular slideshows pause with mouse hover (I quickly disabled this). It is apparently what is happening on the front page, too, but I can’t find a way to disable it. Frankly, I don’t see the point of having a slideshow if this setting can’t be turned off. All most people will ever see is the first picture.

    Thanks.

    Hi Annette

I think the slider itself has a pause on hover:true setting in the code (I am afraid I am not great at code, so I can’t tell you how to change this – maybe someone else can do that for you.)

But … a possible short-term workaround might be to at least flag to your users that there are more pictures in the slider when it stops as they hover:

Tempera Settings > Presentation page > Slider settings > Slider arrows > Visible on hover

It won’t fix the issue, but it will give your users a clue that there are more pictures to view. Just a thought.
