My blog posts are fine and I am able to alter all of that, as well as my presentation page, with the Parabola Settings…no problem. However on, for example, my “About Me” page…I cannot seem to get the main body text to look different than the heading text..except for the color. The size and font is the same no matter what I do.

CORRECTION: The size and color are changeable, but the Font and Case are what is not. I have Uppercase disabled everywhere, yet all of the body text in my About Me page is uppercase automatically.

Why on earth are you making all your text h6 tags when they should be P tags or nothing at all?

…and to get rid of that comic sans that you absolutely should not be using, Appearance >> Parabola Settings >> Text Settings

“Unless you’re a fourth-grader, being ironic, the author of a comic book, or on vacation from the 1990s, never use that typeface.”

Thanks so much for your awesome help! It truly is an honor to be judged by such an incredibly reputable critic such as yourself!!

What you sarcastically call being a “reputable critic” is what I call over 16 years of web design experience.

I’m having similar problems; simple text editing sometimes results in different size fonts. Trying to change several lines at the same time to one font or one size fails miserably.

After googling several days, the solution seems to always be to edit some css file somewhere that is always obscure and annoying.

My beef with WordPress is why give us all these nice options (font family, size, paragraph/header, etc) to edit our text but have to fix any issues by editing a css file, logging to admin, using ftp, etc.

I even deleted an entire section, replaced it with clean html code that I had edited using notepad. That worked well until I tried changing (using the WordPress editor functions) some text size, adding a color text and other very simple mods. And, of course, now that section is all screwed up again.

If I could, I would move away from WordPress but I am locked into it, at least for the immediate future.

If I highlight a section of text, and select that text to Times New Roman and set the size in that section to be 12, then I would expect that section to be in Times New Roman and the size to be all 12. But that rarely happens.

If I edit using text mode, I expect my html code to reflect reality. But instead, WordPress makes a mess it.

And yes, I am using latest Word Press and latest Atahualpa theme.

And please, if any experts in WordPress have some advice, please leave out any comments about what font I should use and whether or not I should be using paragraphs or headings. If WordPress can’t deal with them, then they shouldn’t be available as options.

J.R., to get a consistent font/size throughout an article, never copy/paste content from other rich editors (like Wordpad / Word / Write, so on).

Either type the text directly in WordPress’ editor, or copy/paste it through Notepad to make sure all formatting is removed, then recreate the formatting in WordPress’ editor.

This will make sure you don’t pass along any unwanted formatting (that will absolutely definitely mess everything up later on).
