I had to re-install a site so I imported the posts. The featured images on the category pages do not show (they did on the other site). There is a small gap where the featured image should be, but it is empty.

I’ve tried turning off featured images. I tried turning off “select fist image automatically.” I tried to post a new post to see if a completely new post would work better. I’ve regenerated the thumbnails and that did not work. I reset the permalinks and that didn’t work.

I’ve upload an image and put that in the featured image and that did not work. I re-uploaded new featured images and that didn’t work. WHAT KIND OF WORKED: I deleted the featured images and set the “automatically select first image” setting and that worked, but if I set the featured image, that make the images disappeared on category page. THE INLINE IMAGES do work on the single-page post.
